efddd idlazq On a bright September morning 4 years ago, a group of suddenly grown-up young- sters enrolled in the Freshman Class. Mrs. Mable Roberts adopted them as her home- room students. The following people were enrolled : Lois Forbes, June Lawhon, Earline Strickland, Virginia Spears, Agnes Harvey, Eula Strickland, Jimmy Strickland, Bobby Posey, Gary Council, Elna Ward, Iris Gray, Hugh Chapman, Kit Tucker, Benita Linton, Evelyn Spears, Ramond Stevens. In the tenth grade Miss Reynolds was our homeroom teacher. That year Bonnie Linton started to our school. In the eleventh grade Miss Reynolds chose us for her homeroom again. That year we tried to produce our first class play, 'Grandad Steps out , which was a real success. This encouraged us to work even more. Betty Io Oaks entered our class that year. We also gave the Seniors a banquet over at Wakulla Springs Lodge. This year we had as sponsor Mr. Fred Williams, who has worked hard to help our class to be one of the best. Marilyn Parrish entered our class this year. At the annual Halloween carnival we had Ellen Allen and Kit Tucker as representatives from our room. We had pleasure in seeing them crowned as King and Queen' of the Carnival. 1 On November 10, 1950, our school chose Elna Ward as Football Sweetheart . Amid gaily decorated cars and cheering pep squads, she was crowned by the captain of the foot- ball team, Hugh McCallister. On March 30, 1951, we presented our Senior Class Play, which we were proud of. Q af VN SN We? in fs- ' --f--f -f-1' f-rr--l 'A--fu - f- - Auf-A --de- 1 X' x, 5 .R S y.,-. f v - I f- . A I 1
