U.S.: New and Different This year you may have come across an unfamiliar, but friendly face in the halls of CHS. lt could have been Maryola Kups, one of the exchange students. Maryola is from Borlange, Sweden. She is staying with Deb Curtis during her visit here. Dancing and prac- tically any other involvements with music are what interests her most, with volleyball being a favorite also. Although Maryola has many activities in mind, her main interest while staying here is simply to live and to enjoy America . The school system in the U.S. is different than in Swe- den, and is seemingly more ben- eficial there. As far as a career is concerned, Maryola feels you can't plan a career. . 10. l-Maryola and Otto explore the trails at Pine Hills. 4-Maryola and Deb visit after school.
