Industrial Arts Department This department teaches students the basic fundamentals of printing, woodworking, ma- chinery, mechanical drawing, metal work, and electricity. Mathematics Department The schools mathematics department fol- lows the student through most of his school- ing in CHS. Starting with the more ele- mentary courses of arithmetic in the seventh and eighth grades, the student expands to algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and the other more advanced math courses. The aim of this department is to contribute to the fullest extent to the growth and devel- opment of the student's physical, mental, and social qualities through wholesome body ac- rivity. Home Economics Department As the industrial arts courses are to the boys, the homemaking classes teach the girls the latest methods of cooking, sewing, and other homemaking skills.
