Yea Rah Sophomores What's Cookin'? began its eight game season by beating No- blesville. This was the beginning of a rather fine season which ended with a 5 win and 3 loss record. As usual Homecoming high- lighted the season with the competition be- tween our classes and organizations for the trophy awarded for the best Hoat and walk- ing group. Susie Cunningham, whom we elected as queen, and her attendants reigned over the dance that climaxed the festivities. At last! . . . Our first vacation . . . Teachers Institute was held during the latter part of October. When we returned from our few days of rest QD we signed up for our season basketball tickets. Stock Girls for West's IGA! A few weeks later we anxiously awaited the outcome of our parents' discussions with our teachers at open house. We hoped for the best, but expected the worst! The next week the county students joined us for the Montgomery County College Cwuidence Day. A highlight of the Christmas season was the annual Sunshine Christmas Ball which had as its theme Silver Bells. A two- Page week vacation followed the annual Christ- mas program presented by the Senior high chorus. january, our midwinter slump, was bright- ened by the change of semesters. Every Saturday in February seemed to be set aside for something special.
