AS ETBALL XVASHINGTON-The Gold and Blue over- caine the Continentals pressure defense to racli up their fifth win of the season and their third in a row, 63-54. FRANKLIN-The locals started slow and Hnished last to chalk up another Win by crushing Franklin, 71-50. FT. VVAYNE-In one of the best games, the Athenians stopped the Archers, 51-34. Cox and Hipes led with 11 and 12 points, respectively. LEBANON-The third tiine was a charm. After Winning the First two games the Athenians lost to the Tigers, 67-61. NIABTINSVILLE - The Athenians lost a closely-fought battle to Nlartinsville, 55-51. RILEY fSouth Bendj-A trip to South Bend saw the Gold and Blue defeat the VVildeats, 49- 44. Seven Athenians had a hand in the scoring. ATTICA-The Red Ramblers Won their four- teenth victory, carried only five defeats. The Athenians lost, 72-70, after leading 28 of the 32 minutes. SHOBTBIDGE - Good rebounding, close guarding, and hard driving led the Athenians to a 67-55 victory. JEF F EHSON -Playing Without Bainon Hannn, who was bitten by the Hu bug, the Athenians dropped a hard-played tilt to Jeff, G4-57.
