CLASS HISTORY The Senior Class of '47, or most of lt, walked through the doors of various school buildlngs for the flrst tlme, an optlmistlcally demanded an educatlon Of the forty two flrst graders who started here ln 1936, only ten, Robert Stuth, Anna Jeske, Margle Sanders, LaVera Schulte, Martha Mlller, Phnlora Noland, Bruce Harrls, John Brown, Edward Brown, and James Damon have completed thelr eleven years of schoollng 1n the Crawford School The rest of the Sen1or Class has Jolned thls number, e1ther 1n the grades, or ln hlgh school We started our hlgh school career wlth an enrollment of twenty four eager Freshmen, br1ng1ng w1th us the nalve self' assurance that only a Freshnan possesses That year we recover ed from the Sen1or's torture and seemed to fully engoy lt wlth the help of our sponsor, Mrs Janes We entered our Sophcmore year w1th thnrty as an enrollment Our sponsor was not very actlve because of the war shortages and so lt seemed the longest year of all We came to sohool as Junlors wlth an enrollment of twent our sponsor was Mr S V McCage Our year was a perlod of steady act1v1ty We took part and attended football, basketball and baseball games We produced the Junlor play called For Pete's Sake It was a blg success and spurred us on to hlgher accompllshments We ended one busy year wlth a very expresslve Junior and Senlor banquet and were looklng forward to an 6JCClt ing Senior year Our Senlor year, whlch began w1th an enrollment of twenty two, has been a very busy year so far and w1ll be untll gradua tlon nlght We have been worklng slnce the flrst of thls year to get money to go on our Senlor trlp We have not as yet declded upon our Senlor play And we know we wlll engoy the banquet, WhlCh the Junlors wlll glve us We have declded to leave as our school glft, a flash-bulb camera, and we hope everyone wlll engoy :Lt The success we have and wlll make durlng thls year's school term 1S due to Mlss Glorla Stevens, our sponsor, and we thank her very much We w1ll always be grateful to our parents lor the opportunlty of a hlgh school educatlon, and to our leaders for the patlence and conslderatlon they have shown throughout the years we have been wlth them - 0 - . . . - . 0 . . . v . - . 0 . 4 . - 0 . . . - . .. n . . . 0 0 - . 0 ' r Q 9 0 I I 0 . . v l Q 0 . . . 0 . - - Q - . 0 . - - . . . . o 0 . . . 0 , .
