- . Oy Sy a LB “ ee — ' Fe Moving Into the ’80’s Advancement into 1980 brought many changes to the Crawford Colt campus. One of the most noticeable was the transition from Eastern League to Western League in athletic competi- tion. In this new division, the Colts found the competition to be more comparable with their own abilities. Autistic children and Special Edu- cation teachers came to Crawford for a Special Education Program that was funded by the Federal Govern- ment. With this program, autistic children had the opportunity to learn the basic skills that are essential to everyday living. Class competition was brought back for the second year. This meant SSssSssseoqseSSe se=== SSaaSa h a aah ==j]===== EEL = LSS Lh™”™E)EpapaBnI™ nhh™ ||=aBhnnhhO9NBN9SBHESSSS|SS= = more fun, games, and spirit for the students of Crawford as they battled for points for their class. The class that totaled the most points at the end of the year received a special award from the A.S.B. A definite change was noticed in the Crawford parking lot. This year, many Colts changed their means of transportation from driving regu- larly to car pooling, using the bus sys- tem, riding bicycles, and walking. This was due to the current energy situation, a problem that we will have to face as we progress into the ’80’s. To conclude, nineteen eighty has been a year of change and develop- ment for every Colt. We look into the future decade with excitement and anticipation. 40)89N-oosng
