DUNCAN CAMERON DONALD HANKINS Plane and Solid Geometry, Trigonom- etry, Algebra-both intermediate and ad- vanced, Basic Math, and Honors Math courses challenged Crawfordites' ability to master the various degrees of difficulty in mathematics. Since the math program was accelerated this year to meet the rising math standards required by many colleges and by the San Diego school system, students were required to work harder and learn more than ever before. angudge LYALL YOUNG Head of Language Dept. Crawfordites are becoming more cmd more conscious of foreign affairs as is indicated by the great interest taken in foreign language classes this year. The Language Department consisted of four French classes, four German classes, four Latin classes and thirteen Spanish classes. Our 58,000 language lab, finished and open this year for the use of the foreign language classes, consisted of 32 booths at which the students could either listen to tapes of the voices of native speakers or concentrate on their own spoken mastery of the language. cf! The good physical condition of every Crawfordite is promoted by participation in the exercises, gymnastics, social dancing, and first aid training included in the physical education program.
