Want to have neat essays, term papers, and notebooks? lf so, it would be to your advantage to take some of the courses offered in the Business Department. Here typing, shorthand, accounting, bookkeeping, and clerical procedures are taught in order to prepare students for careers in business and for the paper work involved in college. Tomorrow's homemakers are well-trained in these classes with the arts of cooking, nutrition, sewing, child care, and interior decorating being just a few of the topics studied. Although some of the students have little chance to apply the talents acquired here during their teen-age years, homemaking classes provide a firm foundation for marriage and a well kept home. 1 f U nfl M' yr It ffl J f I ffl I 'Lf AL' V' gf'-f r' I :cu KA ,, I V. 0 l A. . agncluzt fries! .fdrffi ine .fdrffs The Industrial Arts program develops manipula- tive skills and provides opportunity for creative activities. Safe practices in the use and care of supplies, tools, and equipment are emphasized. The ability to make simple home repairs and to select industrial products and services are stressed. The work of Miss Thompson with the Choir and Ensemble, along with that of Mr. Green, in charge of the band and orchestra, resulted in the presenta- tion of many fine vocal and instrumental accom- plishments. The Drama Department presented Craw- ford with two excellent plays, while the art classes were a challenge to the imaginative art student in areas of drawing, portrait painting, and color and design.
