C L E Crawford High School Class of '59 is unique in many ways. Other classes may develop some of the same qualities. and include members with the same records and goals. No class to follow, however, can have the distinction of being the FIRST to graduate. The responsibility for setting the pace, the challenge of establishing the place to be filled and held by Crawford in the city system of secondary schools, has been yours. You have set hi h standards. You have resisted the temptation to imitate class patterns from other schools and carry out activities no longer appropriate to the demands of the fast-movin age we live in. Worthwhile activities which may very well become significant traditions have been established. Whatever success is destined for Crawford High School will be due in large measure to the leadership of the Class of '59, lMrs.l M-ary l. McMullen Principal
