ass iflslory Back in the memorable year of 1940, a group of timid boys and girls appeared at C C H S , to begin their high school career with eager and unexperienced anticipation Thrilled by the knowledge that they were in high school, but frightened at the seniors' horror tales of initiation, the freshies took their place in the activities of our school Irene Ballock and Linus McDonald were selected to represent the Freshman Class in the contest for King and Queen of the Crawzette The pep and enthusiasm of this group increased during the sophomore year We were happy to welcome Miss Schroeder and Mr Gilmour to our faculty Velma Serena and Ralph Eames were candidates for Crawzette King and Queen As this year quickly passed we eagerly awaited the next two years of school life This year Enrollment day in September, 1942, showed that many members of the old crowd had returned to finish their high school career The new faculty members that we gladly welcomed were Miss Jallace, Miss Mann and Miss Hewitt This year we had an all school play in stead of the usual Junior Play The play was a great success, and the funds received were used for a Junior and Senior Banquet September, 1945, sees enrollment again Now we are classified as 'dignified seniors Being seniors we participated in the publication of the Bulldo Chronicle and Memories of 1944 This year Mr Rowland, ho was formerly vlce prlnclpal, was made superin tendent of the school Again we welcomed four new teachers Miss Kilger, Miss Norman, Miss Hilbert and Miss Hammond To raise money to purchase a farewell gift for the school, e sponsored an annual Senior Play, 'Galloping Ghosts' a mystery comedy in three acts coached by Miss Norman Our four high school years have been happy and educational and we hope that the future holds the same for the graduating class of 1944 IO GI L ' ..' 1 .
