Jack is an earnest, sincere student who has won the admiration and esteem of the faculty and his fellow students. A truer friend could not be found. A man with more friends would be hard to find. Placid as he appears on the outside Jack is a man capable of profound emotions, but he puts a stress, both in theory and in practice on the duty of self control, believing that- God approves the depth and not the tumult of the soul. This has been the one great factor that has caused Theodore to strive for the goal of success. She has a deeply religious character and always aims for right.
