Football trophies were presented at the football banquet given by the Cen- tral Point and Gold Hill Lions Clubs. Randy Campbell received the Most Outstanding Lineman trophy, Wayne Allen re- ceived the Most Valuable Player trophy, Gerald Kime received the Down Field Blocking trophy, and Lee Gossett received the Sportsmanship trophy. Student Government Day was very interesting to the Crater students who participated in the event. Student Government day is sponsored by the Medford Elks Club. The Students take over the offices of our local government for one day. This gives them an opportunity to see how the local government is run. The students who partici- ated in Student Government Day were Joe Teeter, Ger- ald Kime, Sandra Guss, Jim Estemado, Allan Barnes Loren Gebhard, Leslie Kel- low, Jocky Cameron, Richard Evans, Sharon Coffman, Lyle Bigham and Bill Callendar. Student Government Day Successful In the morning the officers took an oath of office. Each of the officers then went with the local officers and watched them perform their duties. The Elks sponsored a banquet for the students at noon. After the banquet some of our students were on the radio, and others were on tele- vision. During the afternoon students were given a chance to tour the Juvenile Deten- tion Home, the Medford Airport, the Medford Sanita- tion. Plant, and the radio and television stations.
