The festivities were held in tons of mud. Up to the actual crowning ceremony, it was doubtful as to whether the Royal Court would venture onto the muddy field at half time. But, the ceremony went on and John Greb, Senior class president crowned Sally Elden, Senior Princess, Queen of the 1956 Home- coming. Queen Sally and her court emerged from the field muddy but happy. At the dance after the game fto which all alumni were admitted free of charge, Queen Sally was again crowned by the captain of the football team, George Juvelcmd and presented with the traditional bouquet of red roses and kiss from George.
