Sawin in recogni- tion of his many and valuable contributions to maintaining Cranston High School in the front rank of educational institutions. Since his coming here in 1928 from a high school principalship in New Hamp- shire his record has been one of ever widening influence. He has been Head of the Science Department since 1930, was for many years principal of the Evening School, and in 1947 was made Assistant Principal of Cranston High School. Since then, his love of teaching has led him to take one class a year in slide rule. He has been responsible for adding much valuable equipment to the Science Department, some of which he personally devised and constructed. To his foresight and zeal are due two very popular courses in the curriculum, auto mechanics and voca- tional agriculture. He takes greatest pride in the line records his former students in physics have made and above all else values the high regard in which these former students hold him. 4 CRANSTONIAN BULLETIN BOARD Page 4 o DEDICATION o Page 8 o o FACU LTY o 0 O SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Page I4 0 O O STUDENT COUNCIL Page 59 o o 0 , ADVERTISEMENTS Page I05 o 0 O ADMINISTRATION Page 6 O o SENIOR CLASS Page I6 o Page 56 o o SUPERLATIVES 0 O O O ACTIVITIES Page 65 o o O 0 SPORTS Page 89 O o MR. FOOTBALL Once again our Cranston Football Team has come through with an untied, un- defeated season giving us the Class A Football championship. Under the inspiring lead- ership of co-captains Mancini and DeFusco, the team won all games with the exception of LaSalle by at least one touchdown. Especially noteworthy is Dennis Papa, who was successful in kicking a good percentage of points after touchdown. Joe Mancini, John DeFusco, Billy Montanaro, and joe St. Peter made All State-a high honor for our school. Although these stalwarts graduate this year, a Hne and talented group of sopho- mores and juniors promise success in the following years. FOOTBALL CHS 7 Lockwood 0 Round Robin CHS 14 Paw.
