HHSSES Q 5 1, '2 s Hic locus est, partis ubi se via iindit in ambas. -Virgil THERE are three ages oi man at Cranston High School. First is the lowly, but enthusiastic Sophomore whom the abrupt change from Iunior High importance to Senior High obscurity has left somewhat bewildered. Then comes the aspiring Iunior, seasoned now to the routine. and already eying cap and gown. Last behold the mighty Senior, poised. assured. awaiting graduation and new worlds to conquer. Soon other feet will iollow the path that once he trod: another generation will maintain Cranston prowess, for Seniors come and Seniors go, but the school goes on-forever. 19110

Iln fllvmnriam HATTIE MARIA HOLT THE memory of one who was at the same time friend. counselor, and teacher will linger long with those who knew Miss Hattie M. Holt, for many years head of the Latin department of Cranston High School. In her classes she ever strove to instill a deep appreciation of the classics which she loved so dearly. As senior class adviser, Miss Holt was always willing to lend a hand when needed or to offer some helpful suggestion. Indeed, hers was a life of true service and devotion. EVELYN LOUISE RICHARDSON WHEN Miss Richardson graduated from Pem- broke prepared for teaching, she was happy to choose her Alma Mater, Cranston High School. After a year as student instructor in the history de- partment, she became a regular member of our faculty in the fall of 1939. Miss Richardson loved teaching and she will always be remembered for her quiet, persevering devotion to her work. 110.-
