Che Spotlight un l'z1r.:e Forty-Six Uhr QKPD Glrnzs Faculty Adviser Miss TAYLOR e HIS year for the iirst time a H h School Junior Red Cross Council was organized and the following officers were elected President Dorothy Heroy vice president Thelma Wlld secretary treasurer Catherine Fuchs There IS also a representative from each home . P roll call in th High School and the drive turned out to be the most successful ever SJ attempted During October the council decided to help Bonnie Burn Sanitorium in some way and in February it gave a very enjoyable Valentine Party to some small chlldren there A basket of food was given to a needy family in Kenilworth for Thanksgiving and affaln to another family for Christmas Also during November the Red Cross sent the Veterans in Philadelphia a box of cookies made by the High School cooking class and some greeting cards made by the art class Its work has been mainly centered around Bonnie Burn and the Veterans in Philadelphia During December seventy five individual packages were sent to the Veterans For Bonnie Burn during the same month the COUHC11 sent one hundred ifty pencils post cards and stamps to be sent by the adults there to their fr ends it also started work on scrapbooks for the children there Thelma Wlld was chosen to be the delegate to the National Convention at Washington in April The Red Cross work this year has been very successful but next year the council hopes with your cooperation to b more actlve than 1t has ever been I I A 541133, 3 - 5 - , 4' I M 32 room.
