S C E N E I K HE scene opens on a foggy nzght The famt glrmmer of a shop lamp yuts out from the p x W znterzor of a Shop and rs swallowed by the fog and mzst Musty panes make up the shop front and through them can be seen dusty antzques A blur comes znto the dzm lrght and slowly takes the shape of a man,-a man covered by a cloak that envelops hzm completely He moves nozselessly towards the door of the shop and knocks slowly but heavzly upon zt A few moments of szlence pass then the door slowly draws back on zts hznges The cloaked figure sluies from the fog to the znterzor of the shop and quzckly passes to :ts dzm rear The shop has two counters placed on ezther szde of the room On them are pla ed assort ments of antzques In the rear rzght a workbench s partztzoned from the rest of the shop by curtams shabby and unclean On the workbench are a few tools and vzses Towards the left of thrs workbench zs a door leading to an znner room On the counter nearest the workbench ts an ancient ozl lamp Placed close by zs an equally anczent clock It ts thas clock we hear tzckzng as we s e shufflmg towards the cloaked stranger who had gone towards the workbench the bent figure of an old man Though attzred zn a pazr of shaoby trousers a well worn vest and a pazr of anczent shoes there zs a certarn neatness about htm that betrays the fact of hzs havzng been m better circumstances at some tzme zn the past Apprcachzng the rntruder he questzons htm n an anxzous voice Well what brmas you here tomght CLOAKED FIGURE I need some money OLD MAN fExplodmg!
