Superintendent’s Message In these days of turmoil and unrest, two of mankind's most cherished ideals-liberty and freedom, are being challenged. It is with this in mind that I write this message. The students of Crane Union High School need not take a back seat to anyone, for they are as well prepared academically and socially as any other group of students. Believe in yourselves and in your school, for your school is no better than what you want it to be. Each one of you need to add your contribution to the developing of the spirit of Crane Union High School. The patrons of Crane Union High School are proud of the institution that goes to make up the community. They have given you the finest facilities possible. It behooves us as a part of this community to be proud of our people and to show this attitude by making the best use possible of the fine facilities provided by the patrons. We must also achieve to our greatest potential as individuals in order that these facilities are not wasted. We owe to ourselves, to the teachers, to the students that are to come after us and to the community a debt that can be paid only by leaving Crane Union High School, a better school after we are gone, than it was before we came here. When our forefathers wrote the Constitution of the United States, the Declaration of Independence, and the Bill of Rights, they made certain Citizenship and fought to establish this priceless heritage. Let us live in the future in such a way that this priceless heritage will not be forgotten and that those who remain behind will say when we return, welcome home . 3
