Norman Miller Thirteen shaky but eager Freshmen Rooks enrolled in Crane High School, September 1, 1959, Jack Valentine, Micheal Heath, Frank Skinner, Wesley Mace, Larry Otley, Junior Smith, Carl Schnabele, Norman and Dorman Miller, Lorin Wallace, and David Thiede, who transferred to another school in October, made up the boys roll call. Kay Morgan and Lynda Smith were the only girls in the class until a new recruit Carmen Fleener transferred from McCall, Idaho at mid-year. Popcorn, Cracker Jacks, Corn Curls and Potato Chips were sold to provide class funds. Class Officers are President Junior Smith; Vice Pres. Carl Schnabele; Sec. Lynda Smith; Treasurer, Kay Morgan; Bus. Mgr. Larry Otley; and Student Council Rep. Jack Valentine. Wilbur Takes His Medicine was the play presented by the Freshman Class for the inter- class play contest. Lynda Smith was Homecoming Princess for the Freshman Class.
