But the one thing we all have in common is our world. It's full of problems that can only be solved if we're aware that they exist. It's up to us to search for answers and then young and old alike must move together. Each offering fresh ideas, opening our eyes, and really listening to each other. We're given but one life. This is our final examination and we stand waiting with broken pencils and headaches, but we must pass the test. Fun Night held in the gymnasium on November 20. A meal in the cafeteria and amuse- ment booths and games in the old gym preceeded the coronation cere- mony. The Tournament consists of sixteen area high schools who compete on KSWM radio in Aurora during the second semester and the finals are completed during the summer. Announcement was made of whom the Outstanding Teens were on February 18. They are: Cindy Walker, Janet Wilson, Jean Martin, and Ron Foster. They are now able to compete for a state trophy and scholarship. Eighty-eight persons enjoyed the meal and program. Junior class president, Pam Eppinette, started the eve- ning off with a toast to the graduating sen- iors. The Senior response of thanks was given by Marcia Barnett. Folk music and songs from the hills were played by a School of the Ozarks student. The highlight of the evening was the presentation of a scrapbook to the seniors from the juniors about their 12 years in CHS. It was followed by a skit bringing back memories.
