We started out as a freshmen class of 63 Quite a few of us took part in many activities and although we didn't receive top honors we were learn ing about the high school life place rating was also received on our float in the Homecoming parade you can see, our sophomore year began to bring out our talents In fact, John erandine even went to the District Forensics Contest Our junior year started and we were finally upper classmen One of our big rojects as a class was the junior paper We published four issues of the Cardinal News For the Carnival we decided to be different and have a minstrel show we kept them nrolling in the aisles with things both in and out of the script Our two representatives from the junior class to the District Forensic Contest were Kathleen Compton and Charlotte Dluge Then, at last we had the privilege of putting on the biggest event of the year, the Junior Prom The theme 'Three Coins in a Fountainu provided a very romantic and beautiful setting All in all, we think we can be proud of the things we have accomplished We do realize though, that none of this would have been possible without the help and cooperation of our advisors, Mrs Tupper, Mr Babula, and Mr Goodrich, and every other teacher we've ever had 1 . . . S.---78 scared freshmen. Too scared to do much. During our sophomore year we had a good turn-out for dramatics and forensics. Our play, nShock of His Life,n took first place at the local con- test and an HAH rating at the district play contest. The play for this year, NIt's Cold in Them Thar Hi1ls,' received second. Our junior year was one of big events, class rings, Junior paper, main show for the carnival, and the prom. 'Moments to Remember,' the theme for our prom, promises a memorable evening. Two of our juniors, Marlene Jack- son and Barbara Yocum, received WAN ratings at the dis- trict forensic contest. We'd like to thank our class advisors, Miss Bowden, Mr. Krohn, and Mrs. Storm again for the help they have given us and we are looking forward to next year when we will be the sophisticated Seniors! We're on our way through the second year of high school. Our school life began in the year 195h. Ours was an active class our first year. We were awarded second place on both our Homecoming float and our window. Cur one act play, nThe Blue Jeans Girl,n also took second place. Roger Rathert, Jim Kerr, and Jim Hillman did very well in forensics. They won rec- ognition in the district contest. This year we are every bit as active. The boys are really going out for sports. There were sophomore boys that went out for both football and basketball. He'll keep on working and give Crandon some more cham- pionship teams. Congratulations from: A. It was in charge of the Homecoming celebrations and dance, ran the pop and candy stand at the games, and spon- sored the blue cross drive for the march of dimes. The Constitution was re- vised and brought up to date and more power was given to the council. Noon hour movies, a new form of entertainment in our school were sponsored by the student council. The Radio Club under Mr. Donohue's instructions contin- ued its work practicing codes and building circuits. They hope to accomplish enough to have three people write the FCC test for novice licenses, which would entitle them to operate transmitting stations, by using code.
