M p A MESSAGE FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT: Graduation from high school is an important time in the lives of youth. It marks the completion of education at almost entire public expense. It is a transition from the days when we depend upon our parents to that time when we shall be on our own. Society employs the system of public education to train youth in order that democracy might be perpetuated. Now, the time has come when you will pay society back for its investment in you. Whether or not the investment will pay big dividends is up to youl I hope you have made the best of your time and that you will not fail us. I think you won'tl Best of success to each of youl Sincerely, F. L. Skaith A MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL: As we grow older and leave school behind, the complex mathematical formulas and historical dates which we learned in school often slip from our memories. In order that our school-founded friendships, which will be among our most precious possessions, do not follow the same pattern, use this book in later years to recall your enjoyable experiences as a student. The members of the faculty, who have worked with you, are looking forward to the near future when you will stand beside the other adult citizens in your communities to assume the responsibilities of a mature citizen. Best wishes, Bryce Pulley 17
