Under the direction of its administra- tive personnel, Cradock has been able to function smoothly. Solving the intricacies of arising problems is a difficult task, often leading to overtime efforts. By its decisions rendered, Cradock’s adminis- tration has proved itself competent in governing a high school faculty and stu- dent body. Mr. T.W. Gray, Principal Mr. R.E. Language Arts Involves All Admirals Katharine B. BiggerstaK English II. Ill B.A.. M.A.T. Cornell University Elizabeth I. Coiner English III, IV Sponsor of The Log Co-sponsor of the Junior Class, Quill and Schroll, and J.V. Cheerleaders Mrs. Bruce catches a breath after a long hour of teaching French grammar. The Language Arts Department functions under the guidance of Miss Green, English chairman, and of Mrs. Bruce, foreign language chairman. As a section with which all students must come into direct contact, the Language Arts Department exerts a great influence. All English instruction has as its aim teaching communication characterized by clarity and effectiveness. Many stu- dents reap future career benefits from the Erench, Spanish, or Latin courses which they now take with great interest and enjoyment. Speech, dramatics, and jour- nalism are ungrouped electives offered. Students may also participate in pub- lication of the literary magazine and year- book.
