DEDICATIO Mr. A. M. Stenzel, Guidance Director of Cradock High School, spent his early years in Monroe junior and Senior High School in Rochester, New York. He then attended Brock- port State Teachers' College and later received his B.S. degree from the Buffalo State Teachers' College, Buffalo, New York. ln 1936 he began his teaching career in a Long Island Elementary and Junior High School where he taught for five years. He moved to the principalship of a Sixth Grade School for a period of one year prior to his enlistment in the United States Navy in June of 1942. Mr. Stenzel's experience and qualifications rated the position of fitting experienced men to navy jobs under the navy classification program. In March 1946 he went to the Norfolk Division of Vllilliam and Mary and worked as a counsellor for college students and veterans. ln July of the same year he was married to Mildred Flemming, a graduate of Mary XVashington College and a teacher at Granby High School, Norfolk, Virginia. He went to Buffalo State Teachers' Colle e in the summer of 19-L7 for futher trainin . g g ln September 1947, he joined the faculty of Cradock High School. Since he has been in Cradock, he has helped many teachers and pupils with their various problems. This has brought about a better understanding and has drawn them closer together. ln his two years at Cradock High School he has been a great asset to the school and the faculty. He arranged the scheduling of all students to classes at the beginning ofthe year. His understanding manner has enabled students to solve educational, occupational, and personal problems. He has ordered catalogues from colleges for students and has checked their grades to see if they are good college material. During his two years on the faculty he has given mental maturity tests to the Seniors and for the First time, this year he gave these tests to the Juniors. Mr. Stenzel has scheduled and planned a Baby Sitting Course for the girls who were interested 111 the subject which turned out to be profitable to those who participated. He has scheduled many persons to give talks on after-school careers, in the field of Nursing and C alleges. In Mr. Stenzel's office, there is a complete library and file on every. kind of education than can be obtained and information concerning colleges and business schools. It is only possible to show a few of the highlights in Mr. StenZel's Cradock High School career. His past actions promise even greater achievements in the future.
