HONORABLE MENTION Mrs. Frank Kirkpatrick Mr. Joe Turner Mrs. O.L. Yates MRS. FRANK KIRKPATRICK was given the responsibility of introducing us into high school. The first year rolled along very smoothly, and when we entered school as sophomores, Mrs. Kirkpatrick was again our homeroom teacher. Although our tasks as freshmen and sophomores were not so many or hard, Mrs. Kirkpatrick was always willing to help us over our difficulties. She is no longer teaching at Crabtree-Iron Duff, but we shall always be grateful to her for many things. MR JOE TURNER, our junior sponsor, was a great influence during the eleventh year of school. He had high ideals and always worked hard to fulfill all good ideas. His calmness, patience, sense of humor and deep understanding of young people have already been a profound influence upon our lives. The banquet, given in honor of the seniors, and the play- There Go the Grooms” - are only two examples of the many things he did to make us Jolly Juniors. MRS. O.L. YATES, our senior sponsor, has done more than her share of work and has willingly offered advice on many things - the school paper, the annual, and the many other activities only seniors have. Mrs. Yates is a person of great patience. When we entered the twelfth grade last fall, we thought this would be the easiest year of all. We soon found that the going wasn ' t so easy, but Mrs. Yates never tired of telling us over and over, (always very patient), that it would be much better to do it an¬ other way. We shall always remember Mrs. Yates for the many things, but her patience and interests will be among the most outstanding. 9
