CLASS PROPHECY Who was it that said there were no signs of success in the hearts of the 1956 seniors at “good ole C. I. D.’’? Was it you? Ah,yes,no doubt. But, did you know-- George Kirkpatrick is a number one ceramic engineer, now working at Dayton Rubber Company. Mrs. L. B. Liner, the former Miss Jean Crawford, is president of the Waynes- ville Woman’s Club. Way Kinsland is affiliated with Honeycutt Company. He is manager of the fleet of stores on wheels . Roger McElroy is now in the “chips”; he is a retired bus driver. Doris Ann Messer, B a r ba ra Smith, and Louise Presnell are distributors for Party Line Shampoo in Haywood County. Gene Parks is the best hot rod driver in North Carolina . He has won several Mexican road races. Virgil Matthews is owner of a productive saw mill on Rush Fork. Spencer McCracken, a fair pitcher when he was in high school, is now a pitcher, the best, on the Yankee roster. Shirley Plemmons completed work on her Master’s Degree and is now on the faculty at Western Carolina College. Doyle Brown has been employed at Champion Paper and Fibre Company for some time. Martha Ann Caldwell is a press photographer for The Asheville Citizen . Grover Lee Bradshaw is a cowpuncher on a large ranch in Texas. Helen Hill is putting on an exhibition bout tonight. She is the world champion lady wrestler. Boyd Fisher and Jimmy Lee Best are partners in the Fisher-Best Motor Com¬ pany in South Clyde. Peggy Sue Greene, Annetta Ferguson, and Barbara Crawford are nationally fa¬ mous hill-billy singers. Adeline Best is at the head of the kindergarten school, a well-established part of the Crabtree-Iron Duff School. Carolyn Bryson has been promoted to manager of the Biltmore Dairy Bar at Lake Junaluska. Anyone wanting free ice cream may see her. Louise Best and Dorothy Arrington are two of the best carpenters in Haywood County. -and now it is 1966.
