The Battler Staff Presents . . . I 1968 Battler Cowpens High School Cowpens, South Carolina Volume XXIII The trails of the world be countless, and most of the trails be tried: You tread on the heels of many, till you come where the ways divide; One trail has been followed by many, while the other has seldom been trod: Fear not to follow the Lone Trail, if guided by the hand of God. Trails These are the trails that all may tread Year by year, day by day our world fills itself with an ever-increasing number of ideas, ambitions, likes and dis- likes. We are born into that world which engulfs us with thousands upon thousands of these feelings ... the Trails of our Lives. The Trails of Yesterday represent growth and formation, for yesterday began with simpler foundations. The Trails of Today fill us with enthusiasm reflected in the faces around us. The Trails of Tomorrow challenge us and encourage us to go on. There is, of course, the old wonderful spirit of dedication, but the lighthearted attitude taken toward it is a new and necessary adaptation to the problems of modern classrooms. Future Teachers are quite as serious as they need to be and fully worthy of the profession they have chosen. ADVISOR...........Shirley Huggins PRESIDENT............John Fowler 96 Skills Through F. T.
