Students meet for pre-election planning. Student Government President Connie Hobaugh. SGA met on the first and third Wednesdays of each month, in addition to other special meetings. They kicked off the year with the traditional get-acquainted watermelon feed for the student body. This was follov by the Fall Homecoming activities and dance in Octob SGA also built a float for Arkalalah and hosted the Arkalalah Queen's Ball. Prior to the Christmas Dance, SGA officers attended two conferences on leadership student government. Christmas, as well as Thanksgiviij were times when SGA served needy families in the community with food and gifts. 1978 began with the Winter Homecoming Dance and half-time activities. The Bloodmobile was sponsored in the Spring as well as tl Autumn for the community. Five contemporary films were shown free of charge during the year to the student body. Tigerama, the Spring semi-formal dance, helped to end the year on a happy note along with th SGA picnic. ma--
