Make that deadline! The Tiger Tales was written and edit- ed by students enrolled in the publica- tions classes. It was their goal to pro- vide a free and open means of self-ex- pression for the members of the CCCC community. A new approach was taken with more in-depth reporting, as issues of general interest and concern to the college were investigated. Owen Mooney served as editor for the first semester, Jeri Lyn Werneke took over the helm of the student news- paper the second semester. Other members of staff were Arvene Dema- ree, circulation manager, Mike Muir, advertizing manager, Philip Brown, photographer, and writers Pam Archer, Ron Beavers, Carol Cadwell, Debie Fair, Randy Finuf, Melvin Caswell, Jim Hartman, Gary Smith, Ann Shanks, Kent Smith and Deborah Storey. The Tiger yearbook modified tradi- tion by changing to a fall-delivery book in order to give a more complete cover- age ofthe year. Ann Shanks served as editor, Philip Brown as photographer, and staff members Carol Cadwell, Jeri Werneke and Sheila Bahruth. ,, N ,r n ag, N 'l .4 ,. n, .4 vga-'wiv' 'Wx-hw is-.Ni-K ' ,nn-'- '
