The Board formulates policies which serve for the advancement and growth of the school. The task set before the Board is indeed important and complicated. The members oi the Board strive to do the job with enthusiasm, keeping the welfare of the students, faculty. and eommunity in mind at all times. President Johnson This year marks Dr. Iohnson's thirty-sixth year with the college. I-Ie has seen, during this period, many changes come about in the college. Starting as a teacher and rising to the position of president of the junior college Dr. johnson has gained insight into the vari- ous problems which arise frorn the aspect of teacher and administrator. This experience serves as one of Dr, johnson's greatest assets. The Deans William S. Scott serves as academic dean for CCCJC. 1967-1968 marks Dean Scott's second year in directing the academic life and affairs of the students. Anton F. Buffo is the dean of vocational technical education here at CCCIC. Dean Buffo is the director of the newly instigated Vo-Tech school. KELSEY DAY: We hope that you aren't too annoyed at us for slipping in this page, but We have en- joyed fooling you for once. Since coming to CCCJC in 1946, you have shown a deep, sincere concern for the wel- fare of the student body, both as a group and as individuals and have labored untiringly for their benefit. An active interest and participation in civic and religious affairs have made you an inspiration to all who have ever known you. You have helped hundreds of students work their way through staggering mountains of starfish, worms, and protozoa. Into our young minds you have planted the fertile seeds of knowledge. But more important than that, you have held before us the ideal of clear, concise, and logical thinking, and have taught us respect for the deeper meanings of life. Because of your untiring efforts to serve everyone in CCCJC in the many years you have been here, and the pleasant Way in which you serve and because of our esteem and respect for you as a teacher and a person, we of the annual staff do dedicate this i968 TIGER to J.
