The Homet's played very good ball at times while at at other times their play was dominated by offensive and defensive errors. This of course was largely due to a lack of experience at several key positions. This season was highlighted with Cowden dropping two close decisions, One to Witt by one pointy a game in which the Hornets were ahead with 15 seconds remaining, only to lose the game in the last 5 seconds of play, A triple, sudden death overtime loss, marked the play of the second Tower Hill game played at Tower Hill, This game provided the fans with many anxious moments, both exciting and disappointing, as the lead changed hands on numerous occasions with the Hornet's finally succumbing by one point in the third extra period session. The prospects for the 1956-1957 basketball year looks brighter than they have in re- cent years, Losing but three members from the 1955-1956 squad and bolstered by several good freshman prospects, the Homets should have the added depth, experience and height to have a good season.
