HOMECOMING '87 February 13 was the date for this year's homecom- ing. Shot Through the Heart, a popular song by Bon Jovi, was the theme for our Valentine weekend basketball game. During the week at school the Freshmen won dress-up days. Seniors dominated the float and wall decora- tions by taking a first in Below. The Seniors celebrate their win in the float competition. each. That evening in- between games against Randolph Southern Ste- phen Brand and Michelle Spangler were named King and Queen. Following the game, which we lost in a close decision 65-61, the dance sponsored by Stu- dent Council was held in the elementary gym. Senior Eric Stables goes up strong for two points, and he got them! Above. Freshmen Andy Orebaugh and Derek Luna stand by eighth graders Brandon Miller and Jon Rinker during the judg- ing. . JR. SR. PROM So now what do you want to do? Senior Steve Brand and junior Carol Henry debate about what to do next. State, featuring bowling, games, pool, and more dancing. Votes cast by the 150 guests elected Michele Spangler prom queen. Her court included seniors Kelli Hill and Melissa Smith. ' Heaven in Your Eyes'' was a perfect theme for this years prom! Escort Shane McKenzie leads Mi- chele Spangler around the dance floor during their special song. An evening of romance was set with beautiful dec- orations of wine and white colored balloons, stream- ers, and tablecloths. The Masonic Temple was the setting of this eventful night, with music provided by Midnight Flyer. After-prom was held in the Student Center at Ball Cinnamon Slaven and Kim Pea- cock take a break at the punch table and are served by Sopho- more Shelli Norris.
