Sunkissed Summertime is a time for relaxation, enjoyment, traveling, and just plain having fun. The people from Cowan High traveled all over the place. Some went to Kentucky to Lake Cumberland, to water ski and camp, some went west to hike in Colorado, and others went to Florida to bask in the sun. In other ways summer can mean work to people. The Varsity and JV cheerleaders went to IU to Universal Cheerleaders Association Camp. The girls won numerous awards for their school spirit. At Manchester College many girls went to volleyball specialty camps and some attended Tri-State's basketball camp. Many traveled at random to places such as Washington D.C., Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and all the places there between. Above: Mel Marlow and Shelly Carter bask in the sun at Cumberland Lake.
