Art Time Is Always Prime Time at C.H.S. The closses offered in orr this year were divided into levels: Art 1, Art 2. Art 3, ond Art 4. Some mediums worked in were drawing, wo-tercolor. cloy, ond leathers. Students on the odvonced levels were encouraged to do independent study in o medium they wonted to explore. Many students were given jobs which come from the school or the community. Mrs. Hunter, orf instructor, stated, ‘This gives the student o chonce to see if his orf skills ore marketable, ond provides o woy for him to apply the skills learned. The main competition of the year wos in Moy. where thirty pieces of work were chosen to compete in the d'Arlier Art Show. Covington ort students got o chonce to compete with students from surrounding schools. Senior Jami Hendrickson of Art 1 is experimenting with ink. 16 Fine Arts
