The Honor Society participated in a 15 mile walk for The March of Dimes, travelled to Washington D.C. for a day, and became involved with the Community Action Program. The first candle light induction ceremony in recent years was held for the newly elected members. With the Honor Society being so active this year, next year should be even busier! Varsity Cheerleaders: I to r: Junior, Susie Gayler, Senior, Jill Fulton, Junior, Diane Smith, Senior, Rosie Clawson, and Junior, Sherri Reynolds dress in their finest for Black and Gold Day. Spirit Week is probably the most fun and busiest week of the year. It is organized and run by the Varsity Cheerleaders. Their effort and imagination are much needed and appreciated to make Spirit Week run smoothly. This year Spirit Week included Hawaiian Day, Farmer Day, Kiddie Day, Twin Day and Black and Gold Day. Also, each class contributed by decorating halls. As these pictures show you, Spirit Week brought out the best and brightest at CHS. While Senior, Jill Fulton, gives us her little puppy dog eyes, Junior, Jane Ann Freese, gets a case of the little girl giggles and senior, Vickie Alexander, gets a little tight lipped about the whole situation on Kiddie Day. 18
