Student Life The explosion of the space shuttle, starvation in Africa, and the crisis in South America are all new tragedies that are in our minds. There were many new adjustments students had to make this year. With all the new administration and teachers, some of those adjustments weren’t made easily. In admist to it all though, the students at C.H.S. still have smiles on their faces. Friendship is not a new word at C.H.S., but it is a word that describes it all; Friendship is what keeps us smiling. 6

Student Council A new activity sponsored by the Student Council this year was the February blood drive. With the slogan “save a life”, 26 donors participated. Other activities include the homecoming parade which they organized, the homecoming half-time ceremonies, and the homecoming dance with which they raised $200. A fund raising car wash is planned. Some proceeds may be used to purchase National Honor Society ribbons for graduation. The council plans to be more active next year.
