HOMGCOMIMG exaroiern There was much excitement during the week of Homecoming of CHS. Many activities were held to raise the spirit in the students, faculty, and the community, including the bonfire. Homecoming parade, ond o big pep session. The seniors captured the title of best float with their rheme ''Indiana Jones ond the Field of Doom.” The gome unfortunately ended in defeat for Covington, but we were still proud of our Trojons! Gridders, Runners, V'ballers Honored of Fall Oursranding Trojon athletes participating in tennis, volleyball, cross country, and football were honored or the Fall Sports Banquet. Todd Pierson earned Most Valuable Player honors in tennis while sophomore Rick Ashton won the Roy Derringer Award. Pierson wos also named coproin of the squad. Most Valuable Player honors in volleyball went to Tommy Swingle. Team coproins were Swingle, Cindy Ellmore. and Missy Martin. Martin won the Lion's Club Ser- Sports Banquet ving trophy while Chris Martin was named Most Improved. Cross country captain wos senior Jeff Dovis. Mike Myers wos named Most Improved. J. J. Everson rook MVP honors. On the gridiron. Scott V oodrow wos the Most Valuable Player. Keith Asbury wos Most Valuable Lineman and also earned the Most Tackles award.
