These students sold Mini-Patrons to earn a Yearbook for themselves. This helped the Yearbook Staff and gave a chance for the students to have some responsibility of their own. Also, the people in our community got the chance to have their name or some other phrase put into print in a book that would be cherished for years to come for every member in the family. The Yearbook Staff would like to thank the people and parents in the Covington area for the help in supporting our Yearbook by buying Mini-Patrons for the 1976 Bicentennial Yearbook. Let’s slow down a bit and see All the bright and lovely things Life holds for you and me We move so fast— We rush so much We hardly find a minute To study how one drop of rain Can hold a whole world in it We pass by homes and realize That these are folks we know But we just can’t spend the time it takes To stop and say Hello” . . . Let’s pause and watch a child at play Or Autumn leaves drift by Let’s really look and try to see The tear in someone’s eye Let’s take the time to listen To what people really mean We hear the words, But oh, the thoughts They’ve hidden in between! Let’s take time out from hurrying Life has so much to give But if we don’t slow down a bit We won’t find time to live Jean Kyler McManus
