Composed of Lee Ann Allen, Eva Richardson, Kathy Hegg, Nancy Merkel, and Julee Scering, they worked hand in hand with the Pep Club, Booster Club, and their great sponsor Mrs. Judy Ashton. The Junior Varsity Squad consisted of Tami Curtis, Ruthann Hunt, Cari Hayman, Jean Nichols, and Kima Myers followed their teams through tremendous triumphs. Being a CHS Cheerleader meant knowing the agony of strained muscles and fracture-defying splits, jumps, and falls. She was the one who decorated the halls, planned pep sessions, spent time after school practicing yells, and thought up new ways of raising spirit. Now that's a Varsity Cheerleader! There were many countless hours put in trying to plan and construct exhibits that would hold interest and hold together. Candles were being made in one place, while miniature houses were being built in another. Jeans were used to make jackets, vests, purses and various other things. These were just some of the things that went on that day in the Multi-purpose room. The show held interest because those that worked on it centered their attention on activities that turn the CHS students on. 53 Top left: Ceramic display by Cal Likins. As we the graduating class of 1975 began our first day of our senior year, time would not stand still for us. As a class we united through such activities as our last homecoming, holiday tourney, sectional, prom, spring show, and senior play. We have many memories from many friendships that have developed through our years at CHS. Knowing that soon we will be expected to accept adult challenges, we attempt to understand this new world of ours. Our high school life has shaped our minds giving us new purposes to our existence and providing us with means for achieving the identity we seek. As a class we captured all that we could and tried to achieve our goal which was to be the best. Let it be known that this was our time. Before high-piled books, incharat'ry Hold like rich garners the full-ripen'd grain; When I behold, upon the night's starr'd face. Huge cloudy symbols of a high romance. And think that I may never live to trace Their shadows, with the magic hand of chance; And when I feel, fair creature of an hour. That I shall never look upon thee more. Never have relish in the faery power Of unreflecting love!-then on the shore Of the wide world I stand alone, and think Till Love and Fame to nothingless do sink. 167 Miss Schwin, Who Spent Many Long Hours Teaching At Her Best Top: Miss Schwin.
