Teamwork was an important characteristic that was not lacking in the CHS sports criteria this year. Without the combined efforts of the managers, coaches, and players, the Mighty Trojans could not have had such a successful season. 23

Eleven guys, four coaches, managers, and teamwork. There were many long hours of hard, sweating practices. Their muscles ached and raw blisters burned. Much was sacrificed, but that was forgotten when everything was gained. The proud parents, the faithful student body, and the faculty sometimes wavered in confidence and spirit, but somehow always were seen at the games. One may not have seen the team’s tearful eyes or have heard the pep block’s loud cheers or even felt the tenseness of the fans, but these things made this team—our team. The faces of co-captains Bill Ricketts and Bryan Allen showed the satisfaction of Trojan victories. 22

STELLAR SENIORS The seniors now look back to a memorable season, one that was filled with enthusiasm and enjoyment as well as the rugged and exhausting practices. Each man made a whole-hearted attempt to make his last season his best. Chuck Davis (RIGHT) was leading pass receiver and yardage leader in individual punt returns. Bob Hoagland (LEFT) had an outstanding record of individual kick-offs. Gene Keller, a lineman, was one of the returning lettermen who helped lead us to success. Tom Masulis as a lineman finished the season with the highest number of tackles and fumble recoveries. Returning letterman Bryan Allen led his team as quarterback. 24
