to our parents To show our appreciation for the help you have given us which has enabled us to live up to the high morals of our school and community, and the train- ing and guidance you have given us through love, we dedicate the 1955 edition of Puffs and Patches to our deserving parents. We are conscious of the many sacrifices that you have made for our happi- ness and security. With these things in mind we are especially proud of our dedication for this year, for we can find no one more deserving than you, our parents. “The seniors were discussing the dedication of the annual a few days ago. I think it would be a great idea to dedicate it to our parents.” “This would be a good way to show our appreciation for all the things they have done for us.” “Yes, and they have put up with us when no one el e could.” “We should mention how they have given up much time and money, so we could go to dances, make trips, and have the things we wanted and needed.” “When we needed help with our problems our parents were always ready to help us.” “They usually get a laugh too out of our fashions such as knee socks and middy blouses.” “Just think of the number of times they have sewed the letters on our sweaters, washed our argyles, and ironed our pink shirts.” “We have a good idea here. Let’s get it into writing.”
