Band camp was held at Bluffton College the week of July 22-27. During this week the band became better acquainted with their new band director, Mr. Tom Knueven. The band put in many hours of hard work and their dedication seemed to pay off as they were successful at each contest they attended. This year the band will be losing eight seniors who have provided leadership throughout the years. 20 Band Camp

Homecoming 1985 The pregame homecoming festivities started with the traditional parade through the streets of Covington. Led by the CHS Marching Band, the homecoming court and class floats wound their way back to Smith Field. There, the formal festivities began. As the excitement increased, the candidates were led by their escorts across the football field. The evening climaxed with Shanda Kimmel being crowned Homecoming Queen by last year’s homecoming queen, Cindy Byers. Shanda was escorted by Jamie VanHise. 22 Homecoming
