This year's Homecoming wos just a lirrle different from previous years. Instead of each candidate doing their own thing, they work- ed together and gave each other moral support. This year's candidates, Angie Angle, Michelle Davis, Deonne Finfrock, Nicki Girouard, ond Jennie McMoken were escorted during the homecoming activities by Pete Doehringer, Jeff Elsoss, Chris Vonderhorst, Doug Pond, and Khris Locker respectively. October 8. the night of the gome against arch rival Miami East, o parade was held to honor the candidates. As the parade wound through the streets of Covington ond bock to the foot- ball field, a feeling of excitement and anticipation filled the air os it hod the halls of C.H.5. all week. During the pre-gome ceremonies Michelle Davis was crowned the 1982-1983 Covington High School Homecoming Queen. The next night o donee, with the theme Under the Stars was held in honor of the court.
