1978JUI II0R-8EI II OR PROM This year’s prom was again traditionally sponsored by the JUNIOR CLASS. It was held at the Piqua Elk's Club on Friday, May 5. This year’s theme was “You Light Up My Life.’’ The JUNIORS spent Thrusday night and all day Friday decorating the walls and ceiling with stars, foil columns and streamers. A fountain and a rotating mirror ball highlighted the dance floor. The after prom, sponsored by the JUNIOR PARENTS started at mid- night at the Mayflower Theater in Troy, where the crowd saw the movie “Oh, God. The procession then moved on to Piqua’s YMCA, where sand- wiches and drinks were served. Pool, basketball, or pingpong could be played while door prizes from local merchants were handed out. The new swimming pool was open for two hours, also a disc jockey was present, playing an endless selection of 45's. The memorable evening ended at 5:00 a.m. and the revelers drifted home, falling into a contented slumber. 28
