Our band, under the direction of Donald Jenkins, start- ed their year with a week at Bluffton College for band camp. The band worked very hard at learning different shows for the many football games. The band assisted the cheerleaders in boosting the pep rallies and also marching in the pre-game parades. With all this blowing you can imagine how windy tnese kids are. Loud voices are al- ways needed at the games and the band supplies a lot of them. After football season Concert Band came into the picture. This year our concert season was centered around state and district contest. A I rating was earned at district contest which sent us on to state for a II rating. The band itself is very proud of this achievement and we should be proud that they represent C.H.S. Without a marching band who plays for the basket- ball games? Never fear, the Pep Band is here. The Pep Band, consisting of a small group of members, supplies the pep for basketball games and pep rallies. It takes a lot of hard work to make a great band. We are proud because we have a great band.
