L. A. Apwisch is completing his fifteenth year as principal and twentieth year in the Co- vington School District. He received his B. S. and Masters degrees from Miami University and has done ad- ditional work at St. Mary's College in Oakland, Califor- nia and at the University of Cincinnati. He served three years in the Navy as a pilot and flight instructor. Mr. Apwisch likes his job very much and considers it an enjoyable, educational experi ence. 'A 1 ll fr rincipal Mrs. Miriam Sweigart has served as the faithful secretary to the principal for ten years. As an alumnae of Covington High School, Mrs. Sweigart claims to like her job because of the hours and her personal contacts with the students.

Superintendent Mrs. Mary Hayes, an alumnae of Plea- sant Hill High School, enjoys her job as secretary to the superintendent. ,Before this, she served as Village Clerk. Mrs. Hayes believes that some ofthe best people in the world are involved in the field of education. C. S. Phillips has spent a total of 33 years in the field of education, the last seven years as superintendent in the Covington School District. He received his B. S. degree from Ball State, Masters degree at Miami University, and has done other graduate work at Ohio State. Mr. Phillips considers Covington a mar- velous town and his job a challenge.
