This was a first for the Covington Music Department. The clinic was directed by George Gaber and Fred Marzan. On the following afternoon Dr. Marzan appeared as the guest soloist at the Winter Concert. Practice concerts were traded with the Milton-Union Band. Later in the season a Spring Concert was given. Efforts were rewarded when the band received superior ratings in both the District and State Band Contests.
