A new organization at C.H.S. this year is the Future Nurses of America. The club's main function is to give girls who are interested in nursing some in- sight into the career they have chosen. The members of the club attended a nursing clinic at Springfield City Hospital and a tea at Dettmer Court. The club's programs consist of movies, pertaining to nursing; interesting speakers; visits to area hospitals; and panel discussions. The group's advisor is Mrs. Alma Schilling. Poor thing! From this active chapter of young farmers several of the members spent last summer on a trip to Wampler's Lake in Michigan, while other members went to F.F. A. Camp at Muskingum, Ohio. The group purchased a truck for use on field trips and tours. One such trip was to the International Livestock Exposition in Chicago. The annual banquet was held in February to give awards and to honor the Chapter Sweetheart, Gayl McKenzie.
