CONGRATULATIONS THAN KS, FR. WEBER Way down in Eastern Kentucky, in the quaint little town of Maysville, a legend was born a few years back. We would like to pay tribute to this man in our '78 yearbook, not because he's the most prestigious human being to come out of Nlays- ville since Nick and Rosemary Clooney, but we salute him for his 25 long years in the priesthood, and as a teacher, now treasurer, at our beloved Covington Catholic High School. His name is Father Charles Weber, a man who somewhere between his youth as a student at St. Patrick's gradeschool and his teenage years, chose to live the life of Christ and decided to enter the priesthood. He was ordained to be a priest on June 6, 1953, in the Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption, and almost immediately he was sent to be stationed at Covington Catholic High School, and from that moment on has remained. In addition to this, he also holds the position of pastor at St. John's Church in Covington. Father Weber is quite a remarkable man, and looking beyond the fact that he dislikes to have his picture taken and only smiles once every leap year, we can see beneath this mask, one whose love and dedication for Covington Catholic and his profession is an unparalleled'accomplishment. We, along with the rest of those who have come in contact with Father Weber, tip our hats to his many years of faithful service. No ordinary man can really fully visualize what he's done for the people of Covington for the past 25 years, because, well, Father Charles Weber is no ordinary man, he's somebody special. 10
